Changing Brains Changing Lives 2018
Changing Brains, Changing Lives is a collaborative effort with valley wide partners to provide the Roaring Fork Valley with an educational opportunity for community members, professionals, and mental health workers to increase their emotional literacy and empower their understanding and awareness of mental health for them self, family, and community. The symposium focuses on the neurosciences of the brain providing education and strate- gies to support and enhance our ability to be present in this moment and resilient to future challenges. The 4th annual Changing Brains, Changing Lives will feature thought leaders in education and mental health exploring the topic of connection. Our day long intensive workship will include speakers Dr. Tina Payne Bryson, Dr. Christopher Willard, and Michael Thomapson addressing topics of how we connect to our brain, with others, and with our community. The workshop will be from 8:30am to 2:30pm at the Gant Aspen including lunch, workshop sessions, and a panel discussion. Our evening community event will include our workshop speakers and Raj Sisodia of Conscious Capitalism shedding light on connecting in business. This event will be hosted at the Wheeler from 5-7:20pm with 4: 20 minute talks and an organized panel discussion including speakers and community leaders.
