Join us at Betty Ford Alpine Gardens' Education Center for an Intimate Evening with Rob Schorr learning about the wonder of bats. Rob will take us through the evolution, physiology, ecology, and conservation of bats, with a focus on some of the conservation effort going on in Colorado. Rob Schorr is a zoologist for Colorado Natural Heritage Program at Colorado State University and he has worked in the state for nearly 20 years studying rare animals and plants. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in biology from University of California, Davis, and master’s degree in wildlife biology from University of Georgia. His specialty is mammals and he has studied the Preble’s meadow jumping mouse at the Air Force Academy since 1997, but he has studied a host of animals, including boreal toads, long-nosed leopard lizards, hops blue butterflies, kangaroo rats, and, of course, bats. His recent projects include pallid bat roosting ecology and little brown bat population ecology.   Program Schedule: 5:30-5:45pm - Appetizers and Drinks 5:45pm - Presentation
