Tread of Pioneers Museum's Brown Bag Summer Storytelling Series

Each one-hour program features a lecture topic that reveals the unique history of our area presented by the locals who lived it. Bring a friend and bring a lunch! July 13: "The Life of Margaret Duncan Brown." For 47 years, Margaret Duncan Brown ran a successful ranching operation completely alone in the Elk River Valley. Family descendent, Mary Walker, discusses Brown's life and diaries highlighted in the popular book "Shepherdess of the Elk River Valley."
