With roots firmly planted in the fertile musical soil of Texas, the Eli Young Band -- Eli is guitarist/lead singer Mike Eli, Young is guitarist/backing singer James Young -- is a little bit country and a lot of guitar-driven rock'n'roll. The group met while students at the University of North Texas in Denton, and went on to get their master's degrees in road-doggin'. They've released five albums since 2002, the most recent being 2014's "10,000 Towns." Along the way, they've collected three No. 1 hits, as well as a Grammy nomination and an Academy of Country Music Award for Song of the Year for their 2011 hit "Crazy Girl."
