JULIET . WORLD PREMIERE . LEMON SPONGE CAKE CONTEMPORARY BALLET

Friday, May 24, 2019, 2:30 AM - 4:00 AM

Experience internationally renowned choreographer Robert Sher-Machherndl premiere’s his latest work JULIET.  He takes inspiration from human behavior and interaction in a fast paced digital age.  Meet the characters Juliet, Hanna and Klaus Maria as they interpret new and unimagined movement language, taking the audience on a powerful and emotional journey. Distinctively innovative, JULIET reflects upon themes of connection, disconnection to intolerant action.  See video Clip: https://youtu.be/qED8N75Dihg

Award-winning architect Mike Moore joins the exploration. He take inspiration from illuminated device screens, and creates a floating light cube in the state-of-the-art 5000 sq ft gymnasium. The audience is seated around the illuminated shape, and the performance takes place inside. Suspension tape divides the entire performance space, transforming it to an engaging, interactive environment for the public.
