Lecture by Wellington photographer Mark James “On Common Ground: Edwin James and Pikes Peak”
Join local photographer Mark James to learn about the history associated with his ancestor, Edwin James, and the first documented ascent to the summit of Pikes Peak nearly 200 years ago in July 1820. Mark’s pinhole photography explores the landscape his ancestor likely encountered when traveling west in the early 1800’s.
Cost: $30.00 (Ticket price includes a tour of the “50 Greatest Photographs of National Geographic” exhibition at the museum after lunch.)
