SCA Barista Foundations, November 21st
The Barista Foundation curriculum acquaints students to the craft of the barista. It is ideal for learners who have just begun or desire to initiate a career as a barista, appropriate for learners with little or no barista experience. In this all-day course, students will be introduced to core barista skills and equipment. We will cover basic terminology, best practices for espresso and milk preparation, tasting espresso and “dialing in” the grind, the basics of pouring techniques, espresso machine & grinder parts and basic daily maintenance, and customer service.
